My Today

my everyday

For Today…January 20, 2015
Outside my Window…The sun is just beginning to peak out over the horizon; signs of a new day are beginning to peak through. The wind is slowly blowing and our flag flutters to and fro. It is another beautiful day in California.
I am Thankful…for a baby who is still sleeping and for insurance to help cover my dental appointment this morning!
In the Kitchen..Sits a soaking pot, some of last nights dinner still remain. All other pots and pans have found their home in cupboards below.
I am Wearing…Jeans, a Fresno State T-shirt and a light gray sweater, sporting my pink fuzzy crocks.
I am Creating…more posts for my blog. I am always writing. Always sharing.
I am Going…to the dentist for a routine cleaning.
I am Wondering…how long it will take and about all the things I have planned for today
I am Reading…I just finished Unbroken and am still reflecting on the story I haven’t started anything new. Not sure what book is next.
I am Hoping…for a good day.
I am Looking Forward to…a fun week. My first MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting, Fit and Fun for my son and hopeful a trip to Disneyland at the end of the week.
I am Learning…how to forgive and how important forgiving truly is.
I am Hearing…the quiet morning with the occasional noise from my husband as he begins to get ready for the day.
Around the House…all is quiet. Toys are put away and most rooms are still dark.
A Favorite Quote for Today…“Growth means change and change involves risk, stepping from the known to the unknown” –Author unknown
A Few Plans for the rest of the Week…A dentist appointment today, bible study tomorrow, MOPS Thursday, Disneyland Friday and whatever we decide to do this weekend
A Peek into my Day…Chasing around an active 19 month old. We have Fit and Fun today and cars to play with to keep us entertained though out the day. And maybe I get lucky with a super long nap.

  1. Outside my Window… is a sky overcast with fog. Hens wandering over gardens and lawns finding tasty bits dropped by the beautiful Pine Siskins and Lesser Gold Finches who come in plenty to our feeders. Other birds are here too happy that we help them survive the otherwise seedless winter… White Crowned Sparrows and Spotted Tohees are at the feeder also.
In the background we hear the tapping-hammering of the Flicker who is working on his nest for his mate.
I am thankful to live in such a place to see wildlife, have fresh eggs with our three pooches at my side.

    • We have annual passes since we live so close and will only be here for a few years. So yes it is quite common. I think we have been 4 or 5 times this year already. Play dates at Disneyland are awesome.

  2. I have a dentist appointment next week, and I too am very grateful for coverage. we didn’t have dental insurance for a long time and it is EXPENSIVE! I loved this little peak into your world. Have a great week!
