Reflection on Blogging and the Future

After taking a week a way from blogging I decided to take some time and do a reflection on blogging. I took a break from blogging to celebrate Christmas with my family and in my mind I thought, I will write everyday and get ahead for the New Year, but instead of writing everyday I didn’t write once the first week. And it was so nice to take a break. I really needed a break.

I know often times when I tell people I blog part time. They do not think I am working. They think blogging is just a hobby that I do to kill time (which is somewhat true), but I didn’t realize how much of my time is truly dedicated to blogging until I pulled the plug and took a true vacation from my hobby.

It has made me reevaluate how much work I am doing for this blog. I love sharing my story, but know now after a week long break I need to find a better balance between writing and my real life. I’m not really sure what this will look like, but for now I am just happy to be back to writing and sharing. I hope you enjoy the stories I share and the adventures I tell. I can’t wait to see what 2015 holds!

  1. Oh my friend – I hear ya on this one! I took a break too for a couple of weeks really and it was so wonderful! I don’t feel like I am supposed to write less – but for me, I need to manage my time with more intention! Still – I think it is actually good for our online and inrl lives to take a break from time to time! Happy New Year!
