Whisper

Every Thursday night before I go to bed I check to see what the Five Minute Friday prompt is so I can write for five minutes and take a break from blogging.  Today my husband is on a short business trip and my son wasn’t in the mood to go to bed. So he is sitting contently beside me watching my fingers hit the keys (for like 5 seconds).  Everyday is special, everyday is different.  This weeks word is WHISPER. Kinda fitting as I whisper loving words to help my baby go to sleep.

Whisper #FMFriday The boy who to snuggle whispered to my heart how much he loves and needs me to wrap him in my arms. Airman2mom

Start

The boy who to snuggle whispered to my heart how much he loves and needs me to wrap him in my arms.  The boy who laughs and plays with smiles, giggles and chasing balls steals my heart away.  I whisper that I love him and say it everyday.

I help him find his button, his nose, his ear and hopefully the right way.  I read him a story as his sits in my lap and as we snuggle in close I sign a special song to help him relax.  And slowly his eyes start to flutter and his tense little body starts to unwind.  Slowly we rock together and I hold him and let him know everything is alright.  I put my baby down tonight with his arms wrapped tightly around my neck. I whispered, I love you and slowly walked away.  Hoping he wouldn’t notice that my presence had gone away.  I love these precious moments and know they won’t last forever, but I will always whisper I love you, I know that will never change.
